If you were brand new to Jalopnik I might give you a break but by the looks of things (past articles) you had a previous tenure from 12/5/2022-4/19/2023 and should have a full understanding of how the search function works to see what has been reported on in the past. Just so we are clear, what had been written…
The grab handle isn’t anything new and press could get hands on it during release day in August, which was reported by this outlet already. the grab handle has been described by every auto journalist ad nauseum. If I were you I would have inquired about what features on the c pillar from the concept XRT trim featured…
in the rendering above the tail lights are higher. lots of these renderings were floating around early on before Hyundai released that the low tail lights have a functional purpose to extend the lift mechanism for the trunk and make the space bigger. given the functional purpose I’m kind of fine with the taillights…
I drive a 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited with 169k miles so the immediate need to replace it is a very reasonable scenario. Ideally I would like the new generation 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid but until that comes out I would debate going in two directions if I needed to pivot immediately. direction one would be…
“If you were in fact wondering, Hyundai is offering five interior colors to choose from. The only interesting color options are Pecan Brown and Forest Green.”
the 30 inch second row legroom is a mistake. its ~40 inches in the hybrid as reported by Edmunds. the 3rd row is ~30 inches.
I’ll also add that I like how the rear seat doors have cup holders, the center console has additional pull out storage on the floor in the rear, and the ac vents for the second row are on the B pillar.
Hyundai sent all the automotive journalists out to simultaneous events around the world to prepare content for the release of this new model on 8/10 at 5am eastern time. every automotive outlet has been pushing tons of content at that time, not just Jalopnik.
“WE CAN ALL MAKE OUR PHONES HOT TOGETHER” there is a built in fan under the phones to cool them per the Edmunds youtube video. ask the question next time at the press event instead of randomly making assumptions.
“which hopefully won’t make your phone too hot.” seriously man ask the engineers at the press event instead of pontificating. the people at Edmunds asked and were told there will be built in fans to cool the phones on the wireless charging pads. also why didn’t they send you with a cameraman to the event? every…
The rear tail light design is growing on me, especially since I now know that there was a reason for the design for functional purposes to make the rear tailgate opening wider. still would have liked to see a spare on the rear end. is it under the car? I didn’t see any pictures of the suspension or underside nor any…
I prefer the exterior of the 1958 and the round headlights over the higher trim level rectangular lights although on both of them those giant rectangle body pieces with the tiny out of proportion fog lights are seem weird. feels like something is missing there in that big blank space. looks even odder in the upper lev…
That’s very “jeep owner” of you to say your jeep is the best fit for any task. Not cliché at all.
why is it that all the approved comments are mostly all short quips from people begging for stars and most of the meaningful questions are “pending” accounts? been a user for years and all my content still gets relegated to “pending” status immediately upon posting. so annoying
George Hearst or William Randolph Hearst?
regarding the overall design - at the very least you should ask about the rear tail light design and why it is so low. this seems to be the biggest point of contention among your readers, with (last I checked) 3 people making photoshopped versions of the vehicle in the comments with the taillights further up on body,…
It is kind of sad that as an automotive journalist that “in theory” wants to write about vehicles to inform his audience, asks people what they want to know while also telling everyone who disagrees with the design that they can all go pound sand. at the very least you should ask about the rear tail light design and…
As others have said the rear tail lights are way too low. They need to put them up where the Santa Fe badging is and move the Santa Fe badging to where the current tail lights are.
