if you want a more quiet and more efficient fan, just go with a DC powered fan. if your fan is shaking get a new one. I don’t see how a bladeless fan has less maintenance than any other fan. you say just wipe it down every once and a while, isn’t that how you maintain all fans? only benefit I see of a bladeless fan is

kind of funny that we label heat pumps as “clever technology” as they have been commonly used to heat and cool homes since at least the 1970s oil crisis. efficiency in heat pumps has skyrocketed and will always be at a Coefficient of Performance (COP) greater than 1 while resistance heat will never surpass a COP of 1.

All EVs and PHEVs should have a heat pump with preconditioning. there should be ZERO exceptions. Heat pumps are wildly more efficient than resistive heat. Apparently the Lightning has some form of preconditioning but it is relative to the level charging being used because resistive heating is very inefficient. Just

I really much prefer the exterior of the older version. I hate that random matte chrome rectangle on the front bumper of the newer version. I also really miss the amber drls of the older version, but that one got some pretty bad IIHS ratings for the headlights so maybe the are an improvement? if not, it definitely

Sunroof or moonroof – anything other than a solid roof. I often find the glare hits the inside of my glasses lenses and is super annoying. just a useless hole in the roof.

I’m 6'6 and weigh over 350lbs.  I’ve done a lot of research into this.

my dream garage is a bit bigger but for the same $300k

AAA Discounts are dismal. I worked for a rental car company out of college and the rate was on par with some of the worst discounts we offered. honestly it sounds like Lifehacker is just schilling a useless product.

I love the concept of EVs and would love to own one but currently I don’t think there are any EVs worth purchasing in the U.S. right now. Maybe for early adopters who can afford the expense with little to no concern for the payback period they could be fun, but that’s not most people and sure isn’t me.

Easy Answer is the Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV Limited. best combination of interior space, AWD, good MPG, lots of features. not a minivan. if you want a 3rd row go for the Kia Sorento PHEV. The Lexus NX plug in hybrid is nice but very tight on passenger room. you could do the Lincoln Aviator PHEV but I don’t think the tech

ok so I’m completely ignoring the sporty requirement here but you already have the tesla model S so you already have a fast car with tons or torque. your next car should be the lap of luxury when doing weekend drives and going out with the wife. the next car in your garage should be a Genisis G90. exotic? kind of. I

like a lot of the other commenters I think it looks great but at seeing the first picture of the front I thought it just looked like a kia soul with a front bumper kit and a wrap. boxy just looks good.

your syntax is a bit weird in a few areas.

I’m in a very similar situation to you. I’m a big guy (6’6”, 350+) driving a 2010 Hyundai Sonata with 150k miles and will soon be run into the ground. I’m looking for a new car that is fuel efficient, comfortable for my plus size body, and big enough to get people into the back seat with me in the front. Unlike those

I’m still hoping that the 2023 Ford Ranger (not raptor) has a PHEV option with more room, better towing/hauling capacity, and better MPG than the maverick. I really like the maverick but I test drove one and it is just a bit too tight for me.

I used to be on the AAA band wagon until one horrendous experience. I called AAA when my wife needed a jump but that didn’t work so we had it towed to the local AAA shop (literally the AAA branded shop, not an affiliate). that shop said the entire wiring harness had to be replaced for about 1k parts and labor and

Its a TV show and not a movie, but Yellowstone is basically just a really long Ram ad.

Unpopular opinion right here.

This is a bottom of the barrel review here. Clickbaity title with little to back it up, lots of back to back irrelevant pictures that reference nothing in the narrative, positives don’t apply to the model itself (“Driving a Carnival feels like driving a van. The Carnival feels equally long, but it’s more manageable.”
