It’s not even the NBAs fault, society in general should be taking care of people like this WAY better.  Just because the government refuses to do its job doesn’t mean the NBA is responsible.

I didn’t edit it to make it sound worse, I edited it because that was a big fact to omit. It looks bad that it was omitted and kind of dangerous if people just leave things out just to make someone/ some group look better. The moms had warned officials they would fight the eviction and had barricaded the doors. They had also put out a call for a massive protest to surround the property.

Seems like a good plan to dump the property. The investment value of the property was gone as soon as it was a flash point. On the down side, this means that no local labor will be used to rehab it and no local suppliers will sell materials, but it won’t really hurt anything but the sales prices for any other owners…

Just out of curiosity, how does it work with Costco? Like, lets say I don’t have a membership, place an order, but you have one. Do I get the benefit? Likewise, if I have a membership but the person picking does not, do they piggy-back off mine?

$20 an hour is pretty damn good for a job that doesn’t require special skills.

STOP working for Uber, Amazon, Instacart, DoorDash, etc, if you can’t make a living wage, QUIT! These aren’t skilled positions, find another job. As long as there is people willing to take your job, you will never get more money. 

Then don’t take a stupid fucking gig job.  Zero sympathy for gig workers.  

Think about expensive breakfasts when I pay for healthcare?  I don’t see the connection.  Or is it to think about healthcare when someone spends a lot of money on something I disagree with?

I’ve been slowly moving up the ladder, not by accident I am climbing purposefully. That being said while I can afford to splurge now and again I prefer not too.  There is something to be said for frugality as a virtue in and of itself. Frugal for yourself generous with others I find to be a good combination.

With the exception of the “favorite of Jezebel”, you could be describing Trump.

I’m now a 100% OT Purist. I have no love for both Prequels and Sequels and I think that the true quality Star Wars trilogy will always be The Original Trilogy especially with TROS having completely screwed up the entire Sequel trilogy.
