Fun story. I remember when Epcot opened; I was a kid in Tampa at the time.

Kosher salt seems like the worst salt format for this.

What a great article. I'd sort of gotten used to just being annoyed by Takeout content. You're good at this, Marnie Shure.

That’s a fun idea, but free refills kinda breaks it. The answer would always be any drink => infinite cals.

The reason for the declining quality of the intro is likely that Gene is wearing out the tapes. He’s watched them over and over to the point that they won’t even play anymore.

Yeah, agree completely. II was coherent with I, it was still the same story and same character. (II was largely unnecessary and mostly failed at what it was trying to say, the opposite of I, but I’ll still watch it.)

This One Simple Trick to Tell if a Restaurant is Any Good:

I wouldn’t call it just a marketing ploy if it conveys useful information. I agree that “Detroit-style” isn’t something I remember hearing prior to last decade, but it’s much easier to talk about now that there’s a phrase for it.

Haven't had this, but love Detroit-style pizza. This sounds great.

Yeah. But on the other hand if there had been no sequels, Rocky never would’ve won a big fight, peaking at just lasting an absurdly long time in the ring against a much better fighter.

Nothing about Rocky V felt like greed to me. I think Stallone felt he had really interesting things to say about the plight of aging boxers, the state of boxing at the time, and (sigh) uppity black folks like Don King.

A lot of folks here attributing it to technical details of MMA making it harder to make good cinema from, but that never stopped a boxing movie.

The last half of the trailer leans pretty hard into “laugh at the Texas hicks” territory.

He’s dead now and she’s even more distraught than she was when she made the mistake.

I want the real, book Pinocchio or no deal.

Phew, this seems like a terrible idea.

Of all the shitty comments on this article, you’re the worst. Congratulations?

No way man, hospice is not the problem. Hospice is the best we can do given our refusal to legalize euthanasia.

I don’t actually give a shit, was just trying to head off whiny beer nerds (worse even than wine snobs for my money). But take it up with the brewer’s association beer guidelines that say a bock is at least 6.3%, which Shiner is not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bock

This too shall pass.
