book seven is when they really come into their own, but 5 and 6 definitely feel like gears are shifting and 6 especially has some amazing story beats. IT'S GOOD. THE SERIES IS VERY GOOD

AVC gave it a really dismissive review too, making it seem not worth the effort of seeking out. it's really too bad they couldn't have gotten an actual fan of the show to review it because maybe we could've had a shot at tv club classic reviews.

oh yeah it's essential viewing. it's a prequel so you wouldn't expect it to basically be the payoff of the whole series, but it just about is.
