I have GamePass (love it) and just finished Fallout: New Vegas. So I installed Fallout 76 a couple days ago and have enjoyed it so far!

I mean, I’m just starting out, but it has felt just like another Fallout so far. The NPCs (or lack of) I could see would be a huuuge deal though.

Sounds like I hopped in just in time,

I mean, that’s a good philosophy to have, but that’s not the same thing as examining a game that has been fixed after a year or two.

Now playing

Yea, man. How dare MK11 sully these franchises. Next thing you know they’ll be making kids cartoons out of these Rated R movies and OH WAIT...

Of course, but one might argue that’s the entire point of the various sequels, spin-offs, and other media that ultimately dilute the IP in the first place. They’re all just references to a successful original without the substance to otherwise justify their existence beyond grabbing for cash.

To be fair, most of the franchises that have shown up have basically already turned themselves into jokes long before showing up in MK.

They weren’t trying to steal anything. Private companies often have a board of directors, that typically represents investor interests as well as employee interests, in order to avoid a situation where the CEO can do anything without repercussions. The powers given to that board are written into the business’s

I don’t see the point in criticizing a Sony for prioritizing their ecosystems and wanting their product to be better.

Here’s the thing, so?

AKA Capitalism and Supply & Demand. This is incredibly smart. And it emphasizes that it’s a business savvy move since they are using this to strengthen the sales of PS4 versions as well as something to move consoles.

So it’s anti-consumer to make your product and version of something more attractive? No my friend... That’s capitalism. learn the difference. This kind of behavior will always be encouraged as it is the basis for which most businesses thrive in. Does it suck? yeah, but it is in their right, after all, they are trying

To be fair, if you were planning on buying this game yesterday you were planning on buying it without Spiderman.

Discovering that some other people might have Spiderman doesn’t make the decision you were making yesterday any different. You’re still buying a game where you can’t play as Spiderman.

It can be argued that it benefits all PlayStation consumers.

And millions of customers shouldn’t want multiple platforms.

You mean how you couldn’t see the X-men in a Marvel film because it was exclusive to Fox?

The problem is, the folks like you are far, far fewer in number to those who have no problem with this and that’s not even counting causal gamers. Remember, consoles regularly call home now and Sony wouldn’t do it if there wasn’t hard math backing up that it’s worth doing.

Nobody bats an eyelash when it comes down to exclusive ps4 titles, but exclusive dlc? Oh no, everybody get your pitchforks out.

How is this anti-consumer? Let’s look at it another way: if Sony didn’t pay the developer to make exclusive content, that content wouldn’t exist for anyone. Would you rather have nobody be able to use Spider-Man or the largest playerbase be able to use Spider-Man? I see this more as a reward to their consumers that

The sandwich shop with 80 something sandwiches and the freaking excitement he gets from an order of every sandwich.

Oh absolutely not.  The Simpsons was ground breaking.  But at least when I watch Bob’s Burgers I’m not constantly saying to myself “Simpsons did it!”

I’d be interested in an article regarding why China and to some extent Korea have such a fundamentally different attitude to Pay2Win games. I can’t even imagine how it’s possible to spend that much on a game, much less so why someone WOULD.
