I’m just guessing, obviously, but the “Best Actress” part is smaller and at the bottom. I question whether an old man who is not wearing his glasses could read that part. Plus, he’s expecting it to say the name of the Best Film award and with that “fact” as the default in his mind, it may not have occurred to him that

Yeah, I like how he stepped in and took charge because the other guy seemed like he was about to throw a tantrum or something.

On the after show, DO said he thought it was a bit and that it was a highly inappropriate time for it!

I love the woman right behind Mel Gibson - you can see the dawning shock and confusion on everyone else, but she’s back there literally checking her nails.

Find yourself someone who looks at you like Lin Manuel Miranda looks at everybody.

He tried to defuse an awkward situation with some levity. I think he handled it fine considering it was something unprecedented and almost impossible to imagine happening. His joke didn’t land very well, but you’re acting downright offended by it.

Yeah, he was the epitome of class, grace and professionalism at a moment that must have been very emotional and confusing for him. No dithering about hoping the news turns back in your favor or whatever (which, if I’m being honest is probably what I would have done). He saw it was wrong and he was ON IT.

And I especially liked how they didn’t turn Nick and Judy’s friendship into something romantic. It was really refreshing to see.

Thank you. Zootopia had a complex plot that involved both ‘misogyny’ and ‘racial profiling’ (only in quotes because they’re animals, but it’s pretty clear that the bunny is a woman and the fox is a person of colour, no?). I loved that it tackled the difficult subject of someone being a minority, or at the very

Moana sort of fell apart in the last act. And honestly I was expecting more of the songs because of Lin-Manuel (“You’re Welcome” was the best tune).

I thought Beatty was never gonna get off the stage after his mea culpa.

That part on zootooia where Judy goes on about how police have a responsibility to protect, not harm sealed it for me, like that was amazing to have in a kids movie. Also it’s an amazing buddy cop movie. Also it’s got the best godfather parody ever. I guess it just resonated with me more than Moana.

You know, I’m not even in show business and even I would have just said, “wait a minute, this is the envelope for best actress. Okay, we get it Emma, you’re great. Can we get the correct envelope up here?” You’d think these people had never been in front of an audience before.

Why is the movie even up for any awards? It’s a musical that stars two people that can’t sing, or dance.

Yep, you can do that by cooking it a bit, then dropping it in the juice to simmer for a long ass time like a cafeteria makes them. Tastes like shit, of course. You do that when you are cooking for a shit ton of people and food quality is the least of your worries.

Omg, this reminds me of the craziest fucking lady I ever waited on. So this lady orders a burger and asks for it well done but with absolutely no charring on it. She says if there is any pink or if there is any char on the outside, I will be wearing it. So, I relay this to the cooks, who look at me like I’m crazy.

100%, and 115 god damn reviews. That’s actually ridiculously impressive. Usually there’s some smug son of a bitch that hates the film to hate it.

FYI, the movie received 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. That is one hell of directorial debut for Jordan Peele.

I loved this actor in Black Mirror too, really excited for this.
