Am I the only one who thinks Benedict’s entire persona is an elaborate and brilliant gag? Come on, no one could seriously publish this picture, or write the nonsense he has.

The malaise was palpable. No one cared about style or performance, it was all about economy and cutting costs.

I am not at all in favor of the policy that drives deplaning people. I just think Dr. Dao could have comported himself better.

It is apparently in the fine print that airlines are allowed to deny service and remove anyone from a flight that they want, for any reason. And once that person refuses to comply, they are trespassing.

We live in a country that specifically allows for redress of grievances. If you don’t like a law you can press your elected officials to change it. There are petitions and ballot issues and such. There is the power of the boycott, and the press. What I don’t recommend is screaming like a two-year-old.

Because it is the law, and you have to follow it whether or not you agree with it. This isn’t Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat. This is a grown man who should know better acting like a toddler and throwing a tantrum. Although this grown man has a pretty sketchy background so we might be expecting a bit much…

It’s kind of hard to say without being presented all of the evidence in a court of law. Based on a couple of videos alone I’d probably vote he gets nothing.

This is America. Everyone can sue. And our juries are more than happy to award money damages, deserved or not.
