Also, Chicago too.

I didn’t see it that way. I saw it as a guy who knew he was going to lose his senate seat anyway say fuck this noise. Let’s sell some books, make me look good, and hit back.

yet the cardinals wont get rid of fucking mike matheny

exactly. In fee for service/hour professions, more work=more money. I’m in healthcare, and if I want to pick up extra shifts, i get more money depending on how many more hours i work. Once you start picking up more shifts, it’s a hard drug to quit.

I don’t mind the birthday parties, but hell no to the school musicals.

My coworker is a single mom with 2 6year old twin boys. I’ve heard for weeks about the hell of planning their bday party. She doesn’t make a lot of money, but she still dropped >$500 on their party and invited the whole class. When I have kids, only their friends are coming and I’m making homemade cake and ordering

points. I got the CSP about 2 years ago with the 50k sign up, and then last year got the CSR with 100k sign up. I just downgraded the CSP to a freedom, and I already had a freedom unlimited. Really no reason to have the CSP instead of the CSR, especially if you eat out a lot, use uber and transport a lot, and take

that’s a fair statement. Looking at the map of chicago gang territory you are 100% correct. Just another barrier to accessing good food.

and by South of 19th and Kedzie I actually meant NORTH of 19th/Kedzie. South of 19th and Kedzie has some of the highest consumer spending in the City and plenty of grocery stores

yeah sorry I totally meant NORTH of 19th/Kedzie-living on the north side and working southwest at times turns me around when I’m sitting at a computer. Being South of 19th and Kedzie right now i can vouch for tons of supermarkets, especially on Kedzie(Aldi, cermak produce, pete’s just to name a few). I think I

oh totally. Hospital deserts too, especially the south side. And we have great public transport so they could just take the kedzie bus to about 15 different supermarkets, but then that costs even more money and time...so the cheap, unhealthy food that is readily available is even more consumed.

I think this is horrible to waste that food, and I do understand the plight of food insecurity and deserts in Chicago. I do also walk from the Kedzie Pink line 1 block from this up Kedzie to Little Village for work. Cermak is 3 blocks away(~2-4 min walk) and is filled with Mexican neighborhood grocery stores.

This is well and good, but we are currently going through the adoption process and it is a pain in the ass. We want to rescue a dog. No shelters want to allow us to rescue. DINK, own condo with large fenced in backyard. Live across street from work. Apparently that’s not good enough.

which means the government is still going to have to pick up the tab anyway....

My wife has played water polo forever, and tried to teach me the whole eggbeater technique. Yah, not a success.

I delete people on their birthdays. It keeps my friend list active. Every day when I get the notification that it’s someone’s birthday, I think about 1)do i still know them, 2)do they provide any value to my life in being a facebook friend. Then I delete them and move on. People are so overwhelmed with facebook on

i dont get the sudden snobbery towards pumpkin beer. A few Schlafly Pumpkins and I’m happy as a clam

In my mid 20's, I used to drink a lot of IPA’s and stouts, the higher the alcohol content the better. Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell how drunk you are-and then it just hits you and you are hamsauced. After a few blackouts, I went back to lite beers. Mostly now I either drink wine or miller lite. I know exactly how
