There’s nothing wrong with liking what you like. My last car was a 6MT Dodge Dart GT and it had an awful manual. I hated it. The whole car kinda sucked. Now I drive a Camry and absolutely love it because it’s everything the Dart wasn’t... roomy, comfortable, reliable, durable.

The VRSCD always gave me a boner. The V-Rods were special to me because they looked more modern and didn’t have that ridiculous BLAP BLAP BLAP BLAP BLAP BLAP sounds like air cooled HDs. They sounded more refined. As a non rider they made me want to give it a try. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The V-Rod was the only HD I found remotely interesting and they let it wither on the vine.

Put a proper HUD and the GS gauges in it, call it an Avenir and I’m sold.

Great reporting. Hopefully Jalopnik will once again embrace this type of writing instead of snark-filled garbage writing that has seemed to proliferate on this website over the last few years.

The Q5 and maybe SQ5 commits the same sin. If it’s not real, just hide it!

I had an acquaintance in the early 2000s that bought a 1997 Grand Prix GT and a year later traded it in on a 2001 Altima 2.5, and less than a year later 99 Ram regular cab 4x4. His payment was almost $800 because of all the negative equity. It’s just bizarre that’s he would agree to all of that.

The new Ram doesn’t appear to be offered in a single can configuration. The die off has already begun, I guess.

David Tracy is one of the few bright spots on the front page.

Damn that’s cold.

Watch me!

Nobody. Nobody wins.

God that’s a beautiful car.

This is how we will all end up driving bubble cars.

Does the 2.0T have Multiair? Because if so it’s a no go for me. My Dart sounded like a small diesel tractor, enough so that random strangers would tell me my car was making weird noises and I would have to explain that it is normal.

The Jetta was premium a few generation small ago and Mazda has made no secret of their intention to move into a more premium space... but the adoption of a less sophisticated rear suspension isn’t in line with that strategy, IMO.

Goddamnit, the 2019 Mazda3 is going down this road too. There is nothing premium about a torsion beam rear suspension.

Not according to Car and Driver:

I read on a preview drive that all Jettas will have a torsion beam rear suspension. I hope that’s not true.

Toyota looks and BMW reliability... what a marriage!
