This sounds fantastic. I doubt it will open around here, though.

I'm planning to request it as an interlibrary loan. No risk that way.

After the last guy, anyone would be an improvement. (But I dislike the Joker even more than I dislike Jared Leto, and don't get me started on those hardcore Joker fans, who think he's some kind of romantic antihero who's "sticking it to the man.")

Or imagine Enver Gjokaj as the "boy clones" from Orphan Black, instead of that one creepy guy!

Between how affable and goofy Tudyk was in Firefly and how HUGE he was in Dollhouse, I was (and still am) disappointed that Whedon didn't cast him as Hawkeye in The Avengers. He would have been so much more interesting than Renner in the role, and more like the "Hawkguy" comic book version.

I think that was the sixth episode (the one with Patton Oswalt), and it was the turning point between the show being mediocre, bland, and forgettable, and becoming something awesome.

Dichen Lachmann was wonderful too.

But that is why they call me Rolf!

You know, you're probably right. Being big "New York theater actresses," they weren't very loose, and maybe they were intimidated or unfamiliar with the format of the show.

Is Lowlife good? I'm practically a Brubaker completist, but I've never found an affordable copy of the collected edition.

I always despised El Chupacabra, but I felt literally embarrassed listening to the recent Aya Cash/Kether Donohue episode due to Bonequeef. Embarrassed for those ladies, Scott, that comedian, and myself as well.

Fair enough. I admit my interest in the show has waned, but I think Scott-O-Bot is awesome. I love his voice, his delivery, and his almost old-timey, "gee whiz" sort of hosting style. I'd enjoy the podcast more if Scott could just conduct funny interviews with the main guests, since the improv characters don't

Good call.

If you like Phillips, seek out his Wildcats series 2 work with Joe Casey. It was such a great, underrated run, and his style was such a stark contrast against earlier Wildstorm artists with flashier styles, like Jim Lee and Travis Charest. When Casey continued it into Wildcats 3.0, he had another fantastic

I don't like mean-spirited anything, and I think he took things a little too far once or twice — the treatment of the hapless protagonist in the fourth Criminal series (the guy with the disability, who was so out of his depth, he never stood a chance), a few of the more horrific origin stories in Sleeper (and the

I always pay the premium for extra Ellroy!

Sleeper was actually my favorite of the Brubaker/Phillips collaborations. It was tied into the Wildstorm Universe, which I loved, and it was an excellent espionage/noir/supervillain story. It also had more humor than Criminal, Incognito, Fatale, and The Fade Out. If you like those others, though, I would highly

I always envisioned Janeane Garofalo as Carrie Stetko in Whiteout. Never saw the movie with Beckinsale.

Already suggesting Kether Donohue or Christina Hendricks as Yvette the maid!

The action figure "playset"? Me too. Love that thing.
