I don’t think I ever had this game, but I once had the PC version of Test Drive 3, I remember wishing I had a sound card back in the day. Our local video store among other things rented computer games, back then everything had a code wheel for copy protection, and since I hadn’t discovered Warez boards or #Warez on

I’m more disappointed that the OWNER OF THE TRUCK doesn’t know what year his truck is!

That’s a 2004, not a 2001. Build date is 01/04 and the 10th digit of the VIN is a 4, where it would be a 1 if it were a 2001.

I used to live in Corvallis, Oregon (GO BEAVERS), and people there bought these in droves, along with the GEM and other glorified golf carts. (One that I used to see tooling around was literally a stretched golf cart, had two rows of bench seats and a zippered cover around it; was waiting for the headline of a

NP only because it’s in the Rust Belt, that’s a $2500 rig at best in the PNW

About the only hero car in our neighborhood, aside from my dad’s 64 1/2 Mustang (which he still has), was the mint 240Z that belonged to a guy up the street from us, only came out when it was nice.

A few neighborhoods over there were a bunch of people with Corvettes, some old ones, some new ones, some cocaine-era 80s

CP for old pics and not even the seller’s own pics at that. There are some things I like in red, but flags are not one of them!

I like living on the edge, so I’d be hitting the auto auction for an inop Range Rover :-P

I always have to laugh whenever I’m watching something on TV, and the particular episode has something to do with cars in it, and it’s obvious the writers have no clue what they’re talking about and just throw some car words in there...

Things like people getting in a Prius and in the background you hear the sound of

It’s cool, and seemingly well executed... Just not $14k cool.

Potatoes.

Price seems a bit too inflated for Tom Brady’s house

Highlander Hybrid... 29mpg combined, 3500 lb towing capacity, even NEW the base trim is under 40k, upper trims are just over. CPO are probably well under the budget.

Cool write up, and thank you for your service.

My old Corolla had a smattering of Pick-N-Pull parts on it, and my not-as-old Corolla (an 05 CE) that I picked up for $250 with a bad clutch (that turned out to also be a bad transaxle) has a pick-n-pull transaxle in it :-P

At the dealership I worked at, the Explorers that got traded in were literal clunkers. One had 300k on it and the transmission slipped so bad it barely met the definition of “driveable”, one was rusted out so bad I don’t think David Tracy would touch it with a 10 foot pole, and the other two were well worn beaters.

Solution to the U-Haul problem? Mercury Mountaneer or Mazda Navajo logos and grill - the restriction ONLY applies to Ford Explorers... (And even then it’s a certain year range)

You’re right, I was confused. 74 was when they were available in the US, but it was a 75 model.

I’m interested in what he did to digitize the footage, my folks have a box of old Super 8 movies that I’d love to digitize... And I know there are places that will do it for you, but sending off irreplaceable family stuff makes my folks nervous.
