My current commute is the longest I’ve had, 55 miles each way. But since you can barely touch a studio apartment for $1100/mo in most parts of Portland, and I pay that much for my mortgage on a 4 bedroom house on half an acre, I will deal with the commute!

Longest time-wise was when I still lived in Vancouver, WA...

CP, if you’re going to swap an FJ... Either use the DOHC I6 out of a newer Land Cruiser, or do a 1UZ swap. Save the SBC swaps for Jeeps.

LOL or the driver’s girlfriend...

I’ve seen three sheep in a Nissan 720 (Two in the bed and one in the cab)

In I think GT3, the Prius would show fuel consumption, and there were a few challenges where you had to complete the course under a certain time but also under a certain fuel consumption. I worked at Toyota when the 3rd gen Prius came out and we got a special edition of I think it was GT3 that had the Prius plus a few

Seems to me with 3/4 ton and up people care more about payload and towing capacity than they do fuel economy (to a point) where 1/2 tons seems to be family haulers where fuel economy is a greater concern... Although I think it’s only a matter of time until we start seeing the 1/2 ton diesels with the brodozer coal

I remember being excited when I found the Subaru 360 was in there. Even with all the mods maxed out, I think it was the slowest car in the game. But they jumped from that to a 90s Legacy, and skipped all the 80s models :-P

Yeah, where the normal version would only do one lap, this one would do three before the transmission shit the bed.

For me, I just need to fix my broken garage door and clean my garage so I can wrench on stuff inside in the winter....

I want a window lock that has two positions, one to lock only the rear windows. I use it to keep my dogs from rolling the back windows down all the way but then have to unlock it to roll the passenger window down.

My Jetta had this, and then I changed the coding with VCDS to enable the remote buttons to do the same thing. Only sucky thing is the hold-key-to-unlock would also open the sunroof, but holding the unlock button on the key fob would just open the windows, but it would close the sunroof if you held the lock button.

My Jetta had auto up/down on all four. My SVX had auto down on the driver’s window, but didn’t have auto up. I heard that auto-up got dropped because a toddler was decapitated by an Explorer power window, and wasn’t until they developed a safe auto stop/reverse mechanism that it was reintroduced.

I never understood why opressive regimes have “people’s” in their official names for stuff.. People’s Republic of China, even worse the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which is neither Democratic nor gives a hoot about it’s “people”...

Not a bad price but I can’t imagine slant six + slushbox being too terribly fun to drive, now if this had a 440 and a 4 speed like the one my friend in high school had... ;-)

The one by my house has some individual ones, a multipack of 10mm, and the specialty ones like the dihungous axle nut sockets and such are by themselves.

Napa, VatoZone, and O’Reilly’s should have that socket for about 20 Washingtons. Harbor Frieght has ‘em too, but you’ll probably want to buy two so you can do both sides.

you had me at Long Islands :-P

I’m in the PNW and it was too chilly to use the pool most of the summer :-(

What in the methamphetamine is going on here...

It’s “BigBadSubaru” not “BestickeredSubaruThatSmellsOfWeedAndDogHair”
