lol well, if I was looking at new I’d probably be buying a CPO anyway unless I wanted some specific combination that I had to special order or something. Especially with RR/Benz depreciation. Subaru? Absolutely would buy new.

Ya, for 80 grand if I was buying new and needed more hauling/towing capacity than an Ascent, I’d be looking at a CPO Range Rover or GLS although if this beast was $40k...
Durea Hillclimb in Reading, PA is on my bucket list.
No need to be sorry, I’ve just never heard that term before :-P
28 foot Budget moving truck. Had a de-tuned Cat C10 and was governed to 60mph. It managed 10 mpg, and my Dodge truck that was following managed 24 mpg.
When I moved into my house, I approached my steep driveway from the wrong angle and managed to high-center the truck... I heard the bumper scrape so I did the only sensible thing and backed up a bit and then gunned it, ended up with the drive wheels a good 6" off the ground, and the hitch buried in the asphalt. That…
eavestrough? Is that Canadian for rain gutter?
Taking a wild guess the car/monster is from the Pacific Rim franchise?
$1000 a month and they still pick and choose what shit they want to pay for. I had one company refuse to pay a $12 lab fee or something because they said it was unfounded, I called them up and was like between me and my employer you received $1200 in premiums last month, you can pay a fucking $12 lab fee...
Politicians in general don’t know shit about shit.
Local to me too, I used to drive past the recycling facility, although it was long after it’d happened.
I agree, I think it was mainly because the cars had sat at basically a 45 degree angle for ~2 weeks plus a bunch of them were in/under the saltwater that flooded part of the ship, and the engineers were unsure how it would have affected their longevity, and Mazda felt it made better business sense to scrap the cars…
Look up the Cougar Ace. 4500 or so brand new Mazdas, every single one of them was shredded with nothing allowed to be salvaged.
I had this happen with a Subaru I’d bought for $200 back in the day. Re sealed the engine and went to drive it around the block and with the clutch in the car still lurched. I think I snapped the throttle a few times with the clutch pedal depressed, or something and it popped free.
That happened with my Dodge truck, the low fuel light quit working and on that thing E is pretty much E. Ended up having to crack one of the injector lines and pump the manual lever on the lift pump until fuel spurted out of the line before it’d fire.
Eh, at that time it was a 1991 Legacy sedan, so on a road trip half a tank was about 200 miles, although on that car from half a tank I had ~120 or so miles until the fuel light came on. Normally, on a trip I’ll start looking for a gas station when I get below half a tank, mainly because I want to be able to pick a…
At least you aren’t the guy I saw the other day with a “CAROLLA” windshield banner... I’ve seen a “Volkswagon” one too :-P
Before I had my TDI I’d wait for the light to come on, with the TDI I tried to NOT let the light come on :-P my ex gf’s mom was one of those people who, on a road trip she’d be nagging me to stop for gas when I hit half a tank.....
TOYOTA: Please make at least one of these with a supercharger, AWD, and a manual transmission.
It’s awesome, but has too much wrong with it for the price, IMO. If it was in perfect running condition with the graphics on the hood restored, then it’d probably be worth $9800 to the right person.
