I’ve been hearing great things about Vaughn’s output for years, but I’m not sure where to start. Would you say Last Man is better than Saga? Or can I not go wrong either way?

Oooh, I loved Thrillkiller. Have you read Dark Knight Returns?
The video of her dancing made me fall further in love with her.
More graphic novels. I just re-read Watchmen and turning now to From Hell, which I have not read. Recommendations would be nice!
I really enjoyed your 2049 video essay and share your love of the film. You should definitely make more.
I really enjoyed the book. The first time I saw the movie, I could acknowledge that it was good but l wasn’t really blown away. That changed after the second viewing.
Listen, friend. If you’re under the age of 40, I can say, unequivocally, that I have seen many more Sci-fi movies than you have. If you’re beyond the hill, then I dunno, but you’re still wrong!
It didn’t! I appreciated your input!
Right, I understand that. I was more or less saying I didn’t find the exposition to be that obnoxious. Of course, I won’t speak for everyone.
Another thing that stuck out to me was the house they were in during the scream-bear scene. It was almost identical to Lena’s home at the very beginning. And, when Kane returned from being away he stopped at the base of the stairway in Lena’s home and looked at a picture on the wall briefly before going up to see her.…
Yeah but I would think, after experiencing something that insane, you’d definitely want to talk about it and attempt to rationalize what happened. And, who’s to say that the interpretation in that line of dialogue is actually what happened to Sheppard? As a viewer, I guess we can take that as the be-all, end-all…
Really? What’s he doing in TV?
I saw that movie alone in a massive theater in February and it was nothing short of a religious experience.
Annihilation, obviously.
To me this is the most disappointing year-end list of the ones released by AVC. Mandy, Suspiria and especially Annihilation should be on here.
Thanks for letting me know you have shit taste.
Maybe not completely lacking, but in relation to her past work, OP is correct.
I hope not. She’s only 19!! One of my favorite parts of the album of the instrumentation, the guitar work in particular. The lead can legitimately play, and I think there is a ton of room for growth and experimentation there. She reminds me of Stephen Malkmus, or Liz Phair. Of course, the latter created one…
Exactly where it belongs...
Thanks for your comment. I disagree, but I see where you’re getting at with the genre classification. But the songs are start-to-finish are incredibly well curated. It was great to see two women (Mitski and Musgraves) totally dominate the musical landscape in 2018.
