A good list. Would have liked to see Snail Mail and Sleep make the final cut. Also, Kacey Musgraves???

I love this. Thank you.

Lindsey Jordan kicks so much ass! Lush is incredible.

Really? That is very surprising. I also love Beach House, and have really enjoyed their output. But I would consider Depression Cherry the low point (still a great album, imho). And, I think 7 is arguably their greatest achievement. But to each his/her own! Still a kickass band!

What a great year for indie rock. As incredible a year as it was for the stalwarts (Beach House, Low, Malkmus, Spiritualized), I want to take a moment to highlight the bravura performances by Mitski, Amen Dunes, and especially Snail Mail. That would be terrible. But you can block everyone out entirely? I feel like all the craziness still shows up in the general feed, no? Am I doing it all wrong?

Right. But they still show up in the general feed section? They control everything!

Instagram influencers.

The Expanse

Hmm. That’s aggressive.

Ignoring The Expanse is frustrating. But I loved seeing The Americans at the top position. That final season was something else. And, The Terror is really the only other show I paid serious attention to this year and happy to see it included as well.

I really enjoyed the book but thought the movie was better.
