Yeah, the large amount of critics labeling Hail, Caesar! as a lesser Coens' brothers movie never made much sense to me.

I love Malick, and consider Tree of Life to be near the top of my personal best movie experiences ever list. I was less (far less) enthusiastic about To the Wonder, and am curious: does Knight of Cups resemble more of the former, or the latter in terms of ideas and tone?

Sigh. If only art *actually* imitated life.

Pleased to see Manchester topping this list. It was the best movie I saw this year, and I saw a fair amount of movies.

From my experience people mostly suck wherever you find them. This comes off as a bit of a sweeping generalization, ya know?
