That bit never sat right with me. Doc is a little wacky, but he’s not stupid. The association of gravity (gravitas) or weight with seriousness dates back centuries. He should have been able to figure out what Marty meant by heavy. A minor nitpick of a great flick.

Pretty much the same here. My college showed it at its film series and I saw it twice in 1 night, it resonated that much to me as a 20-year old. Watching it again as a 30-something the movie doesn’t hold up all that well. Seymour is a creep and Enid is almost completely unsympathetic. What does hold up is the art

No, definitely a conflict of interest. It may have happened, but it definitely should not have. Any reasonable lawyer would say that they had to withdraw from the representation if it even seemed like their client’s interests would conflict with their spouse’s client’s interest.

I thought it was just a restaurant.

I’m not a copyright lawyer, but for one thing, it’s such a generic image. How many western movies have the same image of a man on a horse next to a cactus? Mesa Verde could find any one of them, or plenty of public domain images and say they were inspired by them, not hers.

I think each series on a channel like that gets 1 or 2 per season.

I thought it was Kevin Costner? Btw when I saw little Women, when Odenkirk first showed up on screen I really did think he looked like Kevin Costner.

Misleading a tribunal and contempt of court.

I’m more than a week late with this but generally in a trial, the judge makes sure it’s stated “on the record” that the defendant is present before they begin for the day or after the lunch break. If a lawyer tries to have a lookalike sit there it would be an almost certain disbarrable offense and also probably felony

I think they get certain details right, like the doc review drudgery in big law and the attorney disciplinary process. Some of their legal plots aren’t very realistic, like it wouldn’t matter that the assisted living facility bought medical supplies across state lines. I don’t think any of Jimmy’s/Saul’s criminal law p

Have to add “Conspiracy.” It’s not a “good” episode, but you won’t be bored.

You mean Chris Hansen. Chris Matthews was the Hardball guy, until last week.

I loved the moment in Community when they start talking about Don Draper and they show a close up of Alison Brie looking sheepish.

It was introduced literally last week in the mandalorian. (Spoiler for the mandalorian, sorry)

Actually I think keeping the synth orchestrations is encouraging.,one of the things I didn’t like about Hooper’s “Les Mis” was the re-orchestrations which tried to turn the great cheesy 80's original into something like Puccini which it isn't interesting enough melodically to sustain.

Shakira Law is the tv show in the 00's reboot of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

What? Montalban appeared as Khan in an episode of the original series, “Space Seed.

Shut up and take my money!

He now looks amazingly like Walter White. Wonder if he’ll cook up any blue rock candy?
