@Batmanuel: assuming the passengers are still rational enough in such a situation to try and change it instead of freaking out about their soon to be death.

@Tightlines: yeah, no matter what the government does, half the country will support it, the other half won't.

@rev02: that would be the case if people were thinking rationally in that situation.

wouldn't it be the biggest satellite out of the world?

@Norbs: It sounded pretty good playing over my theater setup and on my desktop speakers in the next room... I didn't notice any latancy issues, but then again, I wasn't listening for them.

@OMG! Ponies!: hahaha I was just thinking how I would have much rather had 4.2 officially released than the beatles on iTunes

@treimel001: the ONLY thing I could think of was that a pilot might need some offensive advantage to take out the co-pilot. But then again, there're probably an ample amount of things lying around in the cockpit a pilot could get his hands on to disable the copilot by surprise...

@snwbrdr1310: hahaha yeah, but there are some things you just cant unsee

@Chip Skylark of Space: It looks like a 3rd, 4th or 5th mode of buckling. The rails were under very high compressive loads and buckled. The only signs of this you'd see in the fence would be maybe a lack of tension in the wires.

@Odin: And the cost of the tv

@TylDurden: I don't think it's a problem of affordability. I think it's a problem of prioritization. People tend to spend the most money in areas of their lives they enjoy the most, and skimp on the others.

@photofun4all89: um, you kinda gave a lot of info... especially with the "I cant say any more" line...

@TylDurden: because nobody has gotten one as a gift...

@AnthonyG123: new meaning to the term "blonde bombshell"?

@Tristan Lenzo: They can shoot the plane out of the sky before it gets too close to heavily populated areas. Obviously that's a 'last resort' option, but one that must be available just in case.

@dnadeau13: because their motion is governed by known and solvable equations. By gathering data over the course of 4 years, they were able to solve for all the variables, and build a model that is accurate to whatever degree they chose for the course of 10,000 years.

@LoganR: ha, I totally missed that...

@1337n008: yeah. so did the iPhones.
