I think people purchase CUVs and SUVs more as they are easier to get in and out of. Plenty of boomers with disposable income for one of these.

Look I love the Fiesta ST just as much as anybody, but they aren’t just talking about the Fiesta. The taurus hasn’t had a redesign since 2013 and they don’t even have traction in fleets where large sedans usually do. Killing it in the US, not worldwide. Although the margins per car are small, the Fiesta sells in HUGE numbers globally. The issue in America is basically 2-fold.
