I'm not sure about the other scenes but the seance candles were fashioned out of common items like Vaseline and crisco.

I was waiting for him to take Leanne in a headlock or something. I dont think Angie would shoot with the possibility of hurting her friend. Doesn't mean she wouldn't go after someone else, though.
In the first flashback scene she very vaguely referred to "her work", which raised an eyebrow from me. I thought they were going to explore her crime thereafter. I want to know more about Alison.
I'm always impressed with Fiennes' ability to go from cute and charming to gut wrenchingly despicable on a dime. He nailed it on AHS Asylum and he nails it here. It twists my gut to watch him.
A possible twist here would be that it is Mateo as an author, or possibly as a character he is writing who would have the accent. The trouble with the "it's all in a book" theory is that it can easily reduce and manipulate the characters for the sake of a memorable finale. I really hope that isn't the case but the…
Oh, good question. I assumed it was happening after the banquet but I may have missed something.
Gallows humor. You're right about the subtext of his comment, but there is additional subtext that he'd prefer to see her naked.
My first thought was Abbey but it would make sense if it were Luisa after all the discussion about her in the last few episodes.
There is a great line in the book about Serena Joy being someone who preached about the woman's place in the home, despite doing exactly the opposite. The update doesn't lend well to explore this side of the character, but it is quite interesting. She was based on Phyllis Schlafly and her ilk.

I don't care for Chuck but I love Petra, and this change that he motivates in her is a necessary one.
I think Yara Martinez is hilarious but the Rose plot had worn thin. If they find something better to do with Luisa, I'd love to see more of her.
Same!
Right?! I know the fantasy sequence is heightened but I kept hoping that she didn't actually write that dialogue. I had forgotten all about her reading, which is odd considering that push Raf gave her to go through with it was the most interesting thing he's done all season.
That would make a lot of sense.
Her accent was noticeably heavier throughout the episode.
In a few scenes it looked like a ginger under that hair.
I'm sad but the writing was on the wall. I did hope maybe they would fake us out and kill Raf. He's getting too Debbie downer for my taste. Losing Alba would just destroy me but I got nervous during that cute chase scene. I pretty much pray for Petra's safety through each episode. God, this show can be stressful.
I was hoping Petra would make good on her threat to kick him out a couple episodes back and we would see some Raf on the street…he needs out of the Marbella to keep my interest and this plot may achieve that. Watching him suss out his ancestry while, say, sunbathing on the Amalfi coast wont be too bad, either…
Right? Anezka needs to disappear. The prolonged Petra-fication only worked because you still had Yael-as-Anezka-as-Petra, but having both characters again is immediately draining. Hopefully she and Vests run off and don't get murdered.
I thought it was going to be Lee but I'm doubting it since we saw her confession. It's very possible that it's Audrey, invoking the forgotten "croatoan" as a last ditch. Unless Wes Bentley actually does something.
