All very interesting points, thank you. I appreciate your Suzanne Vega quotation. There is a lot about Bob Dylan which is genius and extraordinary, and yet he also has a number of negative facets to his character (such as liberally ‘borrowing’ lesser known musician’s work without crediting them).

That’s an unfortunate interview for sure, but if it helps (with what I have no idea as you’re certainly under obligation to like Bob Dylan), he has said a great deal in praise of many female artists. He’s helped raise the profiles of historic, influential performers like Sister Rosetta Tharpe and contemporary ones

Again, amazing read. Between your amazing the story behind articles and every fantastic opening to your Destiny articles, kotaku is so much better with you here.

Nice piece, I almost forgot how much emotion rushed through me during John’s final moments. Sadness, anger, grief for his family, rarely did I ‘feel’ so much at the end of a game.

GTA is always hard to approach critically. San Andreas pretty successfully runs the gamut from street story to heist to comedy but still falls a little flat. I don’t quite know what the thesis is. IV compensated with a very biting narrative and clear message that, while powerful, ends up undercut by gameplay. Niko

Interesting take and I agree. I also enjoy the parallels between the death of John and the dying of the old West.

I was hoping that you might be an example of a good use of the burner system and not a idiocy spewing mouth breather. Ah well.

Honestly who the fuck cares what opinion writers think? You’re lumping a bunch of calcified hacks in with actual reporters, who are doing incredible and vital work. The NYT has flaws, obviously, but slandering their reporters with the work of their opinion journalists isn’t fair to the people doing actual work.

What the hell is wrong with that guy? He clicked “Accept” without even reading the agreement.
