LOL @ the "NAS" bottle.

Not necessarily tech, but the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways (more commonly known as the Interstate Highway System) championed by Eisenhower has had an immense impact on transportation in the U.S.

We get it, you play a lot of Forza.

Professor Richard Hammond with his pointing stick shall now explain the reactivity of Alkali metals to all of the boys and girls, thirsty for knowledge and the power of chemistry.

Saw this on a new Jeep the other day. Blew my mind!

My wife's Subie has this.

For the crack to happen it would need an imperfections, such as a stone chip to start. Something 1000x more likely on the windshield than than the rear window.

I miss Brainiac it was a fun show

So good. As does the Range Rover. Ask Doug if it is currently working.

Windshield glass only breaks in the scenario you mention when the glass is subjected to "thermal shock" which is when the glass experiences an extreme temperature shift. For example, the glass being extremely cold, and extreme heat is then applied to the glass in seconds causing it to shatter. The same can happen if

In my state you can have one facing backwards for trailer reasons. Even on your car.

I know Range Rovers at least had them for a while from my days working at a car wash. They were super super thin so you didn't even see them until you were really close. I wouldn't want to get a crack in it though...

I had this on my Legacy until my windshield needed to be replaced....$1000 vs $180 and I no longer have heated windshield wipers...

Sometimes, if the guy behind me is being really nasty and tailgating with highbeams, I'll aim my driver side mirror to reflect at them. I'd estimate a 75% success rate. It feels good when you hit the right angle and their lights click down a notch.

The cesium impregnated carbon fibre was not the best idea

I have these on my Impreza. It's my second favorite feature after the heated seats. I'm surprised more manufactures aren't doing this. I know lots of people in MN would appreciate it.

A buddy of mine has a jacked up jeep with HID fog lights mounted on the bumper. While its mainly for lighting up the back of the car for lining up a boat trailer it also come in very handy when there's a dickwad tailgating you for the hell of it.

Now playing

I'm calling it now, body panels made out of Alkali metals.

That is a start. But the vertical edges need it. I've never seen it but I guess a few others have.
