I think with more exposure of the character leading up to this point, it would be a huge hit. It very well may be a great movie, but I don't think enough people know who he is to care, and Ryan Reynolds does not put asses in seats, despite him being a truly funny guy and a decent actor. I'm excited for it either way.

None of those films were ever going to be smash hits. They're niche, and like I said above, either the studios knew it, or they were just plain dumb. The facts of this movie remain: it's low budget, because they know it's not going to be a huge draw.
