It’s not a gender reveal, though, surely? It’s a sex reveal. Gender is an identity and newborns don’t have those.

What are your thoughts on my wife’s decision to have a biological sex reveal on Facebook because we won’t know the baby’s gender until it’s older and has determined that for itself? 

I really don’t care to know what LITERALLY ANYONE’S genitals look like unless I am forming a potentially sexual relationship with them. Please stop telling me about your baby’s junk! IT’S GROSS and not my business! You won't know your baby's ACTUAL gender until they grow up enough to communicate with you anyway!
