As I mentioned to burner, it’s debatable whether most actors could even identify the rounds in question- because that gun most certainly was “loaded”. There is a way to ID blanks vs “real” ammunition, but I’m not a prop guy, and I’m not confident enough in my memory of what it is to even write it down here.

I’m on set

Baldwin is an unlikable blowhard but is it actually hard for you to see that he is one of the victims in this tragedy? Your use of the phrase “real victim” is disingenuous and I think you know it.

I really do feel bad for Baldwin, as I can’t imagine accidentally killing someone in a stunt I was assured was safe and not going to kill someone. That’s horrific to have to live with. This is definitely the wrong way to go about handling it, though.

Kinda part and parcel. Both were equally guilty there.

God Bless Leah Remini. She may take ages to read out a clue on People Puzzler, but she’s doin’ the Lord’s work with regards to Scientology.

I just disagree. Boseman was a screen icon possessed of unusual charisma and grace, and this was widely recognized before his passing. There’s a reason Boseman is the first unsnapped face we see walking through the portal in Endgame. People aren’t just grading him up as a performer because he died young. With respect

The big thing is he became an icon in the black community and it blew up way beyond just him being a comic character.

“...though he gives an indisputably star-making turn, it still feels like a villain—even one as well-reasoned as him—shouldn’t be the most important, or interesting, character in this hero’s tale.”

The loving look back podcast schtick for this show strikes me as being in very poor taste. “Remember the time the mean racist girl and the crazy girl who drowned got in a fight over the pedophile who hanged himself? Or was that fight over the guy who OD’d?”

Its kind of funny to see just how simple his costume is compared to the crazy shit they did in the US show.

That caught me off guard too. I looked up another article and apparently Strong was a couple years ahead of Evans, in the same grade as his sister, but Strong and Evans did theater together in high school. Crazy.

“If you’re using a soundbar,” Bondelevich said, “Get the best soundbar you can afford. And if you’re listening on your earbuds or headphones, get good headphones. If it’s a noisy environment, get over-the-ear headphones. They do really isolate sound much better and do not use noise canceling headphones because those

About 20 years ago I rented Alien 3, and due to some combination of the filmmaking and the wear-and-tear on the VHS tape, the dialog was unintelligible, the sound effects were overpowering, and the picture was muddy except for a few sequences with obtrusive, shiny-looking CGI.

I recently re-watched Crimson Peak, every filmmaker working today should take a lesson in lighting from that movie. It’s good modern special effects on top of a modern take on 70s/80s colored gel lighting used to great effect. There’s no reason for the lazy way nearly everything is lit these days.

You’re saying they didn’t learn from the blurry heatmap that was the Battle of Winterfell? smh

Yep. So much abysmal sound mixing, which really sucks for dialogue-heavy shows like Deadwood or Boardwalk Empire.
