“Sorry I dunno, I was just the Adam Driver, you want to ask the Adam Director.”
“Sorry I dunno, I was just the Adam Driver, you want to ask the Adam Director.”
Since it’s in the script and he acted the scene, gonna say yes.
This was the correct response.
I mean this genuinely and sincerely: these are the kinds of articles that I have missed on the A.V. Club. More of this, thanks.
It sounds like lazy writing, to be honest. “What’s a good way to create relationship drama? I know! One of them cheats on the other!” If that’s all you can come up with, you’re not that good of a writer.
Chandler and Monica as a couple has held up really well in retrospect. It’s like the writers wanted to go in the completely opposite direction of Ross and Rachel and so made a really mature, loving, supportive relationship.
By the same token, Breslin has not previously been known as difficult or a diva who makes things up. So shouldn’t she also get some similar benefit of the doubt here?
I feel compelled to remind people that Aaron Eckhart is the guy who voluntarily starred in “I, Frankenstein”
Eckhart seems like a nice guy but I have heard he can be kind of two faced.
That they used the term “hysterical” says so much, good lord.
Here’s how we know the producers are lying:
Wow. Suing a woman for trying to protect herself is an extremely bad look. I can’t imagine she has anything to gain from her choices here, other than to survive. Alan Arkin would have fucked Eckhart’s shit up if he found out about this.
Definitely a top 10 pilot. The best is, and always will be, Cheers. What they do in that 30 minute episode is so insanely difficult and they make it look easy.
Phone calls on the shitter always reminds me of this David Sedaris bit.
Piss against the wall. Got it.
I don’t know much about how actual lawyers were in those times, but I thought it was kind of how “old timey” lawyers were, overly dramatic to make their points across and loud so everybody in the court can hear them.
And I think Fraser played well with the idea that the character here is a slimy lawyer too, the kind…
Never heard that one before, did you come up with it yourself?
