As someone who’s always been on the less-enthused end of The Good Place viewership, the finale absolutely gutted me. You can call me Jon, because I, too, am a crier, but I could not have anticipated the emotional upheaval of what has to be the most perfect finale since “The Book of Nora.” My eyes are still recovering

Having seen the film, no. It’s not gonna offend anyone that isn’t already a misogynist. In fact, I kinda wish it went further. That said, it’s still very funny and very dark.

I remember reading Great Expectations my freshman year of high school, and... I kinda loved it? It’s great! But most of my classmates kinda hated it. And then I pretended to like or hate the books I equally pretended to read. Insert John Mulaney college bit from Kid Gorgeous

HAAAAAAAM, GIRRRRRRRL!!! This sounds like a blast!

Speaking of The Aviator--you know who’s in that movie for no apparent reason beyond taking several more years for this person to blow up? Adam Scott. He has a full scene as a named character and everything. It’s mind-blowing. Oh, and he’s really good in it.

Very excited for the new Algiers record, seeing as they’re arguably the most interesting rock band of the last 5-10 years.

Too bad Gene Hackman’s favorite food is also spinach.

Underrated comment.

I found season one of Sex Education to be very meh. Its teens don’t come off like real teenagers, the adults were all cartoonish, the humor was hit or miss. So, given this review, I’m cautiously optimistic about continuing on.

Not to mention they gave Best Director to Greta Gerwig for Little Women, which is pretty neat!

While I’ve never been a Strokes superfan, I like/love practically everything they’ve done—including 2013's Comedown Machine, which I think stacks up to, or is almost as great as Room on Fire. Plus, Julian Casablancas’s side project with The Voidz is pretty great. So, I’m genuinely excited to see what they doe next.

Ignatiy looks like a man forever changed by Cats. In all seriousness, it’s so great to have him back. And this is one of the most fun Film Clubs ever. God bless.

Can’t wait to see a Star War and then not feel anything about it. Which speaks to larger problems wrought by capitalist interests, but, for the purposes of this comment, whatever.

We’re starting to see its decay in big ways. Critical appraisal of the Disney remakes has been increasingly less charitable, and The Rise of Skywalker playing it so safe is huge. It’s not long before audiences start turning against it. Give it a few years.

It’s wild how many comments are like, “Well, I can do it, so why can’t Adam Driver?” I don’t know. Maybe because you’re different from Adam Driver. If you’re comfortable with yourself, good for you. Not everyone is. Also, it’s not at all uncommon for performers, many of which are more accomplished than Adam Driver, to

Nope. And anyone who says that it did is a liar and traitor to their nation.

Oh cool! Can’t wait for another remake to immediately forget about.

I’m very surprised by The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood topping the list. I liked them, and I understand why they’re interesting, but neither are in my own top ten. Otherwise, this is a great list.

The best bit is still the snake alphabet being variations on the letter “s,” which pays off in the Lincoln assassination attempt.

Huh. Who could’ve predicted that the character with “angel” in their name would become a god?
