Yeah, it’s not petty. Shutting down production costs money, screws your crew, and causes all kinds of scheduling problems. Nobody should think that is acceptable.
I don’t blame Paramount. Why should they take on the added work - even though it’s being paid for - and the potential issues and delays because another studio’s film needed reshoots?
I can see that, but I guess in the superhero genre (imo) there’s a specific tension when two super powered being meet. When a super powered being meets an unknown, things are sorta vague.
