First, even on a suspended seat you’d feel vibration through the steering wheel, pedals, and everything in your car that would fly around and rattle. But body motion isn’t just about ride.

The clutch is what keeps the hydraulic coupler locked. When the clutch slips, the engine can rev and spin the coupler at a different rate than the output - think like when you’re getting started moving with a traditional automatic transmission.

If your block is a 150 mile perimeter.

When you’re right, you’re so right.

Not power, but force. They probably use the Flintstone power unit of hp.

It’s not the lift, it’s the wheels (and probably spacers to make them fit). Having them further out like that probably more than doubles the bending moment on those tie rods.

That’ll teach him to consider the effects of wheel selection on scrub radius. Probably. Not really, actually.

That was pure sarcasm. I can’t imagine that any city or engineer would demand that a building withstand the unlikely loading of a dozen floors suddenly falling on it.

Yeah, it’s unfortunate that engineers ignored the relevant NYC building codes that require a 24-floor-falling dynamic load condition on their buildings, passed decades ago when it became apparent that buildings would occasionally undergo this impact load.

I love this project, but watching those front shocks bottom out hurts my soul.

The wood under the pickups doesn’t stay completely stationary relative to the strings, and the damping properties of the wood determines the frequency response of the strings’ decay.

Lift by a mile.

If it’s a rotary and the motor is here, what’s happening with the other three feet up front?

Since Business Insider didn’t post a source with their video, could someone explain this to me:

Yeah, cause it’s so much better to stay on the throttle so you stay straight and hit the truck at twice the speed.

think of the geometry of just two perpendicular walls: _|

Cheese.

Really? I think it’s so cool that they could crunch data on me, and find places or events nearby that I’d be likely to enjoy based on my search history.

I really appreciate your response as numbers, that’s an interesting perspective.

I love the laws here. Smog laws keep commuters in heavily restricted cars that keep the air clean, and in the meantime I get to do whatever I want with my pre-75 and never be subjected to inspections of any kind. DON’T ROCK THE BOAT.
