Ah, the memory of "Is That All There Is?". I was riding with my father in his 1968 Cutlass 442. We were at the traffic light at Livernois and Warren in Detroit. The song was on the radio: it was the "let's break out the booze" part, and my father says, "Yeah, booze." I will never forget that.

Mike O'Malley is the man. That is all. Did not know he had this game show background (I was in my 30s in the 1990s. Yes, I am old).

Is an invisible hand job just a wet dream?

Five episodes left. Is that all there is?

It inspired me to buy the Mad Men season 1 DVD set. I found out from the first episode that the series begins in March 1960, a month before I was born. Yes, I am old.

Unfortunately, I suffer from insomnia.

If you ever need a second pair of eyes to check your articles, let me know.

I can offer my proofreading services to the A.V. Club.

Yeah, the workplace scenes are just an excuse for Dre to discuss his problems with his co-workers. The repeated disrespect shown to the woman was tired.

Paragraphs repeating themselves: am I going mad? No, just another proofreading lack.

Big feet, though.

Uh, Pete is wearing those horrible thick & thin socks in the photo. Always hated them.

Right now, he looks more like James Spader than James Spader.

Weirdest boner?

His beard should have it's own time zone. It took me a while watching "Mad Men" to figure out JRF was the cute kid on "Evening Shade." I heard he had problems with Burt Reynolds, so I wondered if that was one of the bad acting jobs he wouldn't speak of.

It's a different world, yeah, from where you come from, ooh, ooh, ooh, from where you come FROM! (Aretha's cover, not Phoebe Snow's- though hers was good too).

I listen to the sound of my quiet sobbing.

Smith was also great in "The V.I.P.s", and "Young Cassidy". She had great chemistry with Rod Taylor in both films.

What about "my gurls"? That's what I'll always remember.

My cousin told me about this movie years ago, and I watched the tv premiere. That's when I discovered that song was the movie's theme. Smith deserved that Oscar.
