'73 Ford LTD, but it was my grandfather's.

Carole Lombard, Irene Dunne, Jean Arthur, and Ginger Rodgers all turned down the Hildy role, and it was then offered to Russell.

Goodbye, Chuck. I hope we've also seen the last of Kim's ponytail.

Maybe they should have starred in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" instead of Davis and Crawford.

Cee Lo Trump.

None of the set design feels dated, which is what happens to the usual sci-fi movie once it ages. Anyone view "Logan's Run" recently?

"Ah warsh myself with a rag on a stick!"

I feel the same way I felt upon hearing "Last Man Standing's" cancellation: "This was still on?"

She should have finished the damn picture: TROG!!!

Actually, BD replied to Holm's "Good morning" with: "Oh, shit: Good manners." After that, Holm never spoke to her again, unless they were acting.

Joan did use the weights, but it was a reaction to Bette kicking her in the head.

"Sugartown" is now Cinnabon's theme.

Those present-day Cinnabon scenes are scarier than any horror movie.

Correct: that Academy Award broadcast would not have been until 1965, and this episode was set in 1964.

I for got Ruth Gordon, who won for "Rosemary's Baby". Perhaps she was the first.

I'll agree that Crawford went too far with her Oscar stunt, but if Davis had thanked her for proposing "Baby Jane", and complimented her performance (she gave Davis something to play against), she never would have done it.

It was also a big deal when Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie were both nominated for "Carrie". It was the first time two women were nominated in major categories for a horror film.

Bette didn't win because at that time, the Academy rarely awarded Oscars in major categories for horror or science fiction films. Those film genres were considered Saturday matinee B-Movies.

I also thought that she became a columnist because the acting career didn't pan out. If she had been a successful actress, she wouldn't have had to turn to gossip.
