About half way through Season 5 of Hill Street Blues. Overall, I still think its pretty great. I've heard that the show somewhat declined in quality as the show went on but I haven't noticed any significant dip in quality yet. Even if I have a hard time remembering all the characters.

There was a battle of the Bonds when "Octopussy" was released. Sean Connery came back to the role with the unofficial James Bond movie "Never Say Never Again" - basically a remake of Thunderball. I don't remember much about it but I do have it on VHS.

Maybe this is what Ryan Murphy should be doing. Adapting interesting, real life stories to the small screen. Stories where you can't really screw with the narrative.
