I don't think they were too many standoffs. I LOVE the standoffs. They make me miss Justified so much! But i can see an argument being made that they could have been spread out a little.

What was he supposed to do? Run? He wouldn't have made it that far. He was going to die either way.
Here is a good video looking at Stephen King's The Shining mini-series.

So Adam Sandler has finally come to ruin westerns for us. God have mercy on us…
Oh jeez. The introduction of Armadillo. *shudders*
"I am not a crook."
I'm actually liking this season a little more than last, and i loved last season. I think i like it more because we don't have a weaselly guy like Lester or a force-of-nature like Malvo. They already did that in season 1. There is no need to repeat themselves.
Fargo for me. You betcha.
Nope. I said amazing.
Bryan Fuller? So its going to be amazing.
NBC? So its going to be canceled.
WHY DO YOU KEEP GOING BACK THERE BRYAN?
Check out Deadwood.
Damn, Aya Cash. She's always done great work on this show but tonight she really brought her A game. Fantastic.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Yeah, you too. I've been hanging around here a little more. I still go to IGN every once and a while. I just don't comment very much anymore because… well, you know.
Speaking of Justified, I'm getting a Bennett vibe from the Gerhardts. Floyd is not as ruthless as Mags, but it is only the second episode. But the boys… especially whatshisname - Bear? the one with the beard - reminds me so much of Doyle.
If it gets us more Fargo, I won't complain.
There is nothing annoying about the silent, bearded twins. After they put up their middle fingers to say 11 (not 2, because then they would be toddlers) i hope they never speak.
It is Bruce Campbell. He's playing Ronny Reagan.
Not really.
