I’m dealing with feelings of hurt and betrayal, of course, but I’m also angered by the *deliberateness* of her (in)actions, especially given the deluge of “how to be an ally” articles/posts circulated this summer. Like, it’s hard to interpret this as anything other than a capital-c Choice on her part.

Mind you, Chuck is talking about an innocent Black woman who was killed in her sleep after police entered her apartment with a no-knock warrant. He’s also inferring that unlike Floyd or Arbery, Breonna’s victimhood falls into question because her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired at intruders who barged into his crib

I like the part where Black people are no longer allowed to even ATTEMPT to defend their homes, their lives or their property.

Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R) backed Trump’s-lil’-Bitch McConnell saying, “I believe Americans sent a Republican president and a Republican Senate to Washington to ensure we have an impartial judiciary that upholds the Constitution and the rule of law. We will fulfill our obligation to them. As Leader McConnell

Wow, you managed to completely miss the point.  Good job.

Whose feelings count most in a pandemic? No one’s. Your feelings matter to you. No one else really cares because your feelings aren’t a reliable guide to reality.

Whereas the US, and most other Western nations, have weaponized laws against domestic violence and lax laws against divorce.

Now playing

He’s the mother fucking President....not a customer rep at fucking Sears. That horseshit about Democrats doing a national mask policy should have been called out IMMEDIATELY In his goddamned face and put right back at him with a ‘You are the man in charge asshole’ and repeat the same question.

Blaque: Should preexisting conditions—which Obamacare brought into—brought to fruition—be removed?

Can you afford the gas to drive to a polling station? Can you afford the gas to drive to the courthouse to vote early? Can you afford the bus fare?

And just how many ally attendees are elderly nursing home residents with multiple comorbidities?

He at least appears to know what the First Amendment actually means, though. Do you?

Usually, when we talk about the patriarchy, we locate our discussions of this oppressive gender system in terms of how it materially harms women: the ever-increasing criminalization of abortion, the disproportionate rates of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, employment discrimination, the wage gap, and so

Poor people have always been able to afford more kids.  It’s rich people who seem to think that they can’t afford more kids.

And there’s nothing you can do about it.
