It seems you could never fix any mechanical issues so you would just drive it till it dies. For 6k I could find much more enjoyable weekend fun-mobiles that I could keep running. Hell, I’d take a DelSol over this any day.

The only reason these were ever desirable is that they were $1000-$3000 and you could mod them. No one wants them stock even if this is a nice survivor. It’s worth $5K, drive for a while and then sell for 3 to a modder.

This is correct. And flat bed trucks are FAR cheaper than regular pick ups so you can find a running one for sub $2K.

I find Sport Tracs on CL all the time for $2-4K. I think they are the worst depreciated Ford Truck/SUV of all time. So why spend so much scratch on a factory supercharged one?? Engine swap and SC a cheapo for same fun. Whoever buys this would not use it for hauling anyways.
