Last year I bought a 2013 Ford Flex Limited with 50k miles for your target price. Top trim level, all the bells and whistles. $40k new, for $15k less, and in as-new condition. Paid a few bucks extra for an extended drivetrain warranty. That’s the way to go to get a good vehicle for your money.

We’ve been looking at cars recently and are shocked by some of the vehicle prices. 50-75k for SUVs (we are in the market for about 1/3 that.) Anyhow, I told the wife that if I took $70k and bought a loaded Suburban, I could sell it for probably 30K in 5 years. If I invested it in a safe mutual fund, I’d probably have

“Chrome".

THIS FUCKING TURD DOES NOT DESERVE TO WEAR A LANCIA BADGE

While I like ICON's ambition, I wish there was a company making versions of these off roaders for $18,000. I'm thinking a company that would buy used 25 year old vehicles and resto/mod them using modern parts where needed. (No added AC or other crap. Just the basics.)

All hail the mighty C7.R, God of Thunder

I’m taking a big trip across the country to see the Daytona 24 this year, glad to see the racing will likely be very good! No one in my life seems to understand how exciting seeing the return of the Ford GT to endurance racing is.

It bothers me that this is an impossible drive train. Those gears are locked in place. Also it is a single reduction, not one that can shift. I suggest using different art.

I was about to ask: Why is this back glass so raked on a wagon? It looks more like the rear door of a hatchback than a wagon.

Remember this the next time some titan of academia suggests that only the police and military are responsible enough to own guns.

What’s funny is that he did it right — taking the spot next to the wall — but then put the wrong side of the car next to the wall.

How do you know which people are vegetarians at a party?

Best car:

The real reason Chip had to go was his screwing up my speed-watching of NFL games with Tivo. Fuck that guy and his no-huddle.

“SEC players are known for studying" ....lets all take a moment to allow that statement to bathe over us like warm buckets of Clemson Tiger urine.

I am not offended by drunks. Or table-smashing. Or gross sexual stuff from the seats in the stadium. But I’m starting to get really sick of seeing vertical orientation of videos.

Now playing

Reporting live from Big 14 10 Country, this is the play of the year -

And yet the commercials show people beating the hell out of these pretty, pretty show trucks. Shit, if I was buying a serious work truck I want something with a taxi cab interior, something I can hose out. Who needs leather in a truck meant for serious work? Who needs all the shiny? I'd want a military-grade dull coat
