Where was Slim Pickens riding the bomb?

The period detail and production design in this movie is brilliant. There's a couple of scenes in diners that reminded me of the opening diner scene in LA Confidential - sure enough, Jeannine Oppewall was the production designer on both movies. She deserved an Academy Award for her work.

Any Kubrick prop would be worth at least 6 minutes.

The movie sucked, and as time passes, more people will realize it. The prequels at least were original. I suppose Disney needs a movie that translates into a ride at the theme parks, so that's what we got.

This was a Vaughn project, not a Billingsley project. That was the problem.
