Colbert got lots of silence and glares. To me his performance set the standard for having the giant brass balls to speak truth to the dumbbell narcissists that make up the national media. I’ll have to find Wilmore’s performance to see how it compares but it sounds promising.

It’s almost the exact reaction Colbert got in 2006, and that’s one of the greatest comedy performances ever. People don’t seem to realize that when the audience IS the punchline, they might not laugh...which doesn’t mean AT ALL that it wasn’t funny.

I thought “Why Did I Get Married” was one of the ONLY movies Perry did that showed black people just living their lives, dealing with the struggles of relationships everyone deals with. Not a great movie but I remember watching it and being like “WOW! This is Tyler Perry?!”
