That’s what insurance is for - plus, $28 million (or the entire judgement) is a paltry sum to a worldwide corporation the size of Marriott. You also have to consider the bad press involved. (But then again, paying it outright sets a precedent that it’s OK to sue us - we’ll just pay you to go away...)

Yeah - she can go after the hotel to pay the entire verdict...which is why they’re probably going to appeal. (Or, hopefully, just let the insurance handle it...)
