I wish I’d had the Switch back when I was still using public transit. Being able to take the game from my TV with me would have been fantastic.

Yeah, if you don’t travel, it’s not nearly as handy. I visit my parents pretty regularly, so it’s nice there, as well as for vacation. Otherwise, unless you want to play off the TV for whatever reason, Nintendo exclusives are your best bet.

Nope, sorry, I should have been a little clearer; I consider it a Steam machine because there are a ton of indie games on the Switch that first came out on Steam. Not everything’s on it, of course, but the majority of the games I play through Steam are smaller indie releases.

Eh, depends on the games, I think! Definitely a “to each their own” thing, but I use my Switch for Nintendo exclusives and a lot of multiplatform releases that aren’t necessarily AAA titles. The portability helps, especially when I’m traveling, but it’s just handy to be able to do stuff at home without being tethered

I think, even moreso, people don’t realize that the things we’ve seen in TV and video games come with some sacrifices. They see the computer from Star Trek and get excited at what it can do, but don’t realize that it means there’s something always listening for you to activate it. The thought of a video game tailoring

I definitely understand it when you pass as white and don’t really have a connection to the ethnic heritage, especially when it gets down to a small amount of it in your multiracial.... ness... I don’t know how to phrase that, but I think you know what I mean.

Genuine question (her other antiblack mistakes are absolute bullshit and I’m not trying to excuse them): if her father is Afro-Latinx, doesn’t that also make her Afro-Latinx? I understand it when it’s distant relatives and people trot out the “oh well I’m 15% Native!”-type bullshit excuses, but is it solely because

uGHHH. I want to like Gina. I really love how outspoken she is about issues, I love her activism for Latinx people and Latinx women, and I like her acting, but... man. It’s one thing to not realize you shouldn’t use the colloquial form of the n-word when singing along with a song, I see how that might not be the most

Oh, for sure. My friend that was streaming it was ready to pull her hair out during... was it Cyan’s dream sequence, maybe? There was a part on a train, I don’t think it was the Phantom Train, but between that and “go here for Relm (but first go to a cave on the other side of the world, fight a boss, and go on)“ was

Add in collision detection and let us throw it into the bombs in the Bowser stages. I don’t care for seafood, but bomb-barbequed Mario eel would be so, so sweet.

Real talk, though: FUCK that eel. Scary-ass fucker.

Honestly, my favorite jarred salsas have been the Target brand, the Trader Joe’s brand (but NOT the corn salsa, it’s sugar-sweet???), and Sadie’s. Jarred salsas are usually really sweet and lack much flavor...

I love La Croix and other sparkling waters, but this is completely true.

I’m glad someone else said this. Jamil literally admitted she didn’t know and said she’s learning now. I get the contention when it comes to, say, James Gunn’s old tweets, but this is literally someone saying she learned something and she’s glad she did. How is this a bad thing?

God, the most traumatizing cough syrup for me was Robitussin. “Pleasant raspberry taste,” my ass.

WAIT WHAT

I love seeing this sort of discussion here. Far too often, “nothing is apolitical” is left out. My very existence as a gay man is political, considering my rights are constantly being legislated and I’m seen as offensive just for existing. It’s good to see the reminder that politics and personal impact are separate in

Wait, Splinter is shutting down?
