Like others were saying, it can be two things!
Like others were saying, it can be two things!
Yes, unfortunately it's always been there, both on the left and on the right, but it's often framed in more insidious ways than straight-up anti-semitism. It's sort of like how people will frame their racism in respectability politics so they can be racist without being too upfront with it. (We've all heard it…
Yeah, I think this is a really great point (though would like to provide the caveat that I only watch CEG & Bojack out of the bunch). I'm so glad to hear that it's being shown on television more and more, especially cases like this one, where it shows it as a viable choice for every walk of life and not, you know,…
I've always loved Paula, but I think that's really well put. At the end of the last season, it also felt like she was giving herself permission to HAVE an inner life.
Bummer about Greg! I'm going to be honest, I got really down on him last season (in my own time, not in this comments section), but he's been growing on me a lot, and even when I hadn't liked Greg, I've always been a big fan of Santino Fontana. (If you don't mind a bunch of cheese, check out the clips of him in…
While I technically have a few games I'm playing (I've just started Root Letter), it's been predictably hard to get into any of them.
RIP to an absolutely incredible artist, poet, mind and musician. I know he was ready, and part of me is glad that he got to go out on his own terms, so to speak. I hope that he's found the peace he was looking for.
I'd also like to add on that I've worked in a facet of immigration in Canada (specifically dealing with refugees, which you guys aren't, but follow a lot of the same rules) before I became too disabled to work. If you seriously have questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
I do, yes, and housing prices are astronomical, as is cost of living. It's extremely difficult to live in Vancouver.
Absolutely, 100%. This is the time for us to stand with the people - not the government - of America in solidarity, particularly as these movements, LGBT, BLM, rights of minorities and people with disabilities, those are worldwide. People working to better these systems worldwide stand behind you.
I'm so sorry. That has to be said first and foremost.
Perhaps I misspoke; it's not just about Paula herself, but about the world around her too, including her husband and especially Rebecca who is, you know, a non-devout liberal, feminist Jew. She doesn't know yet, but when she eventually does, I'm going to be pretty disappointed in the show for not even bringing up the…
I think that's a good point, though I also think it's one that could be made for both Greg and Paula. The ones who were most deeply in Rebecca and her various problems and who bought into it the most (IMO) are the ones who are struggling the most to get out of it. I have a feeling that that's all on purpose as Josh…
It WAS strange, though I'm willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt that they'll exercise the possibility next episode. I just can't imagine someone with an unwanted pregnancy in 21st century America (who is not INCREDIBLY devout) not even mentioning the possibility.
I know, I know, it sounds weird. Just think of it like a very condensed charcuterie board; you've got your fruit preserves, grainy mustard, cured meats and cheese all in one package! I've never dipped it, but I'm sure it would work just as well.
I'm still really enjoying the parallels between Greg and Paula's storylines, which is NOT something I ever thought I would be writing when I was watching season one of this show. (I was also pretty staunchly anti-Greg, but thank you, CEG, you have put my fears to rest.)
Preserved fruit is the ingredient you're looking for! I use apricot preserves in mine, but I suspect that a lot of different types of preserves/jams would do the trick. If salty-sweet is your thing, it contrasts all that salt nicely, and brings the whole package together.
I'm genuinely really excited for this movie. I think it looks fabulous, and I'm so, so, SO happy to finally see Wondy get a feature film. Even if the reviews are awful (and you know, considering the track record, they probably will be), I'm first in line for this one.
You look great!
Oh god, yeah, I can definitely understand that. Rick and Morty remains one of my favourite shows ever, but that pairing really drags it down save for isolated bouts of brilliance. There's only so often you can go to that well and make a good - or at least entertaining - story out of it, y'know?
