My point being that “...the Royals don’t flaunt what they have”  is undercut by the fact that *who* they decide to marry is as ridiculously ostentatious as the weddings themselves.

The Sovereign Grant is a fixed value based on 15% of the profits from the Crown Estate at least, and it can’t be reduced, even if the Estate’s profits fall. It’s also tax-exempt. So…
