Univision’s a fucking mess? Hey, glass houses, Gizmodo!

Wow, I just learned three things: There’s a Wii U emulator, it’s possible to mod BoTW running on it, and Zelda’s finally a playable character.

I don’t really give a shit about the original intent of the MPAA ratings system. Whether they intend to or not, they serve the purpose of at least discouraging people from taking their screaming little kids to adult films.

I wonder what the Genesis of that gaffe was.

Right, states can’t ban it outright, but they can make it as difficult and miserable as possible. Getting back to this bullshit ‘Heartbeat bill’ in Iowa, the redder & more fundie the US Supreme Court becomes, the less likely it, or the bills just like it which will inevitably follow, will get overturned. Republicans

Keep firing, assholes!

But what of his World’s Greatest Grandpa mug?

It sure did work, and now we have another arch-conservative on the bench until he retires or dies. What do you think the odds are in our current political climate that a liberal or even a moderate justice will get appointed if RBG punches out?

He foresaw the current generation of Star Wars-obsessed nerds over 20 years before their rise! Now that’s the power of the Schwartz!

You think so? Obama couldn’t get a moderately conservative justice appointed to replace Scalia. Instead, we got another arch-conservative, Neil Gorsuch.

Take a 6-month-old to a showing of Eyes Wide Shut. I guarantee the kid’s not going to leave the movie and go join a sex cult.

Uh huh. And as Republicans are continuing to stuff the Supreme Court with far-right justices, there damn well may come a day when something like this isn’t struck down.

Yeah, that definitely qualifies as a little odd.

The comments contain potassium benzoate!

When did I say theaters should ban kids? My point is that parents should take responsibility for their kids’ behavior in a public place. It shouldn’t be up to the establishment or the other patrons to do it for them.

My point is that you shouldn’t have to confront that parent. It’s not the job of the other patrons to tell said shitty parent that they’re being a shitty parent.

Because it’s the decent, polite thing to do. And because the rest of the theater does not like your shitty, belly-flopping 3-year-old and does not need to tolerate him.

Below a certain age, a kid’s not going to be able to comprehend a film like that enough to get “damaged” by it. So yeah, movie ratings exist as much for the enjoyment of the childless moviegoers as they do for the “protection” of the kid.

I don’t think restaurants should ban little kids outright, but I do think other patrons should be allowed to kick them as hard as they want, should they wander off & not get corralled by their parents.
