I agree. I don't think it ever was really about zombies at all. Just as 50s era SF movies with flying saucers weren't about Martians. They were about Cold War era fears of annihilation.

You may be right. I hope those responsible are more ambitious though. They have the opportunity to do something more transcendent in value, and they really need to take it.

I found myself NOT laughing at those "jokes". Way too smarmy and cruel to be funny to anyone with any simple compassion or even good manners.
The only parts that got a laugh out of me were the parts where Cohen mocked himself.
