I don’t even think it would be satisfying to watch these rapture-cultists as the flood waters rise..  they’d just scream “oh lord, take me now” and drown themselves. Stupid to the end.

Correction: they are not powerless on this issue. The real problem is that fixing the issue will cost more money than they are willing to give up.

As for the “people in power” who seem to be ignoring the issue... I don’t think they’re ignoring it.

Just mere bacteria managed to “poison” the entire atmosphere of this planet with a corrosive pollutant that managed to kill off everything that was anaerobic. Again, this whole kerfluffle is based on poor planning by the tourney organizers. The game has been out for a good long time, so every character’s quirks and “fun-sapping” techniques should be a known thing.

I’m sure that his opponent knew all about his ledge strategy.  He had been doing it all match. Nonsense. This wasn’t coaching. Marss should just wear headphones then. 

When there’s money involved, all bets are off. I applaud the keepaway playstyle because there is a grab-bag at the end. If the tourney organizers didn’t want players abusing the game’s mechanics... then these sorts of strategies are on them.  

If the people running the tourney had specifically enlisted an “idle timer” then this would be the Jiggly’s player’s fault.  Since there wasn’t an idle timer and Jiggly wasn’t banned.. this is a 100% fair fight. The Ice Climber player is a loser in more ways than one. 

Rage Quitting in a tournament is baby-level immaturity.  Simple as that.
