Nah, in the real world something of this level isn’t a minefield. It’s just a kid’s costume for halloween and they’re going to have fun with it. That’s all it is. If a child shows up at your door for candy dressed up like this, what is your reaction going to be? I’m very curious about this.

Saying that I would never have a friend like her does not mean that I think it’s okay for Kanye to have done what he did. Are you being intentionally obtuse? Re read my initial comment. I literally said what Kanye did was wrong. Just because he did something deplorable that doesn’t mean that Taylor gets an automatic

What are even you talking about? I NEVER said that what Swift did was “worse” than what Kanye did. I also NEVER said that Kanye’s decision to portray Taylor’s naked body without her consent was okay. I explicitly said that what he did was abhorrent. I find it disgusting. I hate Kanye and his “art”. I am absolutely

This was a judgment on default. Meaning the judgment was rendered against him without opposition because he stopped participating. Therefore the Judge ruled based solely on what the Brown Estate was arguing and not necessarily because it was established that he was responsible beyond a preponderance of evidence. To be

You know what? I’m looking at some of the clueless comments below and I’m just tired of explaining this every couple of months. What locs are, what they aren’t, why it’s a problem when white people wear them, why they are associated with Black people and not the fucking Norse or whatever group of matted-haired white

This was exactly the first thought I had reading how “boring” Trevor Noah makes his traumatic and horrific childhood sound (in this person’s opinion). I work with refugee trauma survivors and it would floor most people to hear how calmly, articulately and matter-of-factly they describe their trauma histories. No, it’s

Noah’s stand up is not that bland. But I think it may be a combination of several things. One, is that in South Africa, the issues he’s talking about are still really raw and fresh and edgy. Talking about mixed race couples and his entire sensibility is really aggressive. That may not translate as well over here.

On

I think Trevor Noah’s comedy is more R-rated (from what I’ve seen of his stand up) and maybe it’s not easy for him to move to a Family/PG rated show?

On Noah, I liked his stand-up, but I think there is someone at CC/viacom who is meddling. Part of the reason I didn’t like The Nightly Show with Wilmore was the panel format. He was fine doing his monologue but the panel killed it for me. The reason TDS and Colbert were great was that they were lampooning both

I actually had a neurologist advise I stay off Facebook after I, among other things, wound up at the hospital with seizures. I have never, ever, been so stressed over an election, and it pisses me off to see Fallon making light over it. Some things just aren’t funny.

It’s pretty much just constant existential dread every day.

*chin up* and hug

I’m pretty sure Taylor Swift’s heart belongs to Taylor Swift. She’s the love of her own life, Narcissus-style.

Anybody else finding themselves sighing frequently, not enjoying things, like ice cream, as much, constantly feeling on the verge of unexpected violent tears? Anyone else get queasy when they turn on the news, cynical when they open their Facebook and wary when strangers start talking in a doctor’s waiting room that

Fallon is an idiot.

And in the context of that movie it was funny. This “joke” wasn’t in any such context.

Yeah, no, that was inappropriate as hell. You’re interviewing someone to help promote a film, not projecting your sexual fantasies on them, or making jokes at the expense of whether or not you perceive them as sexually attractive or not. I don’t care who it is, or what gender they are. That should not have been said,

I think most people are shocked when they find out the “truth” behind the Taylor Swift machine. That she’s not some little homespun country girl from Nashville, who caught a break or was “discovered.” She’s a rich girl from Connecticut who wanted to be a star and her father paid to make it happen.

There was plenty of evidence, both circumstantial and direct evidence.

As a Brit i do believe that she is innocent and i think our media was a mess in this and was vile against Knox. But it is actually really sad that in US media Meredith Kercher has basically been forgotten, plus it does not help that Meredith was not white and not American.
