That’s not entirely fair—a lot of teens aren’t really educated on the issues, and if their families and friends are conservative and that’s all they know, they’re more likely to lean conservative. I was the same way (sans boyfriend) because I was raised in a very conservative Christian environment. I grew up and then

Loved this. It so so so sums up my life politically—I grew up in rural Kentucky in a very conservative Southern Baptist family. When I registered to vote when I was 18, I registered Independent, but still voted Republican with my parents. When I was a freshman in college I was on the email list for the campus pro-life

My best friend and college roommate for three years is a conservative, and was a member of the college Republicans. He was (and is) an exemplary conservative and one whom I wish the party was full of.

my life is pretty easy at the moment, but i appreciate your sympathies nonetheless. again this post is a limited criticism of brooks’s column itself, which does not mention anything about clinton’s record, and merely says she needs to open up and be warmer, and i personally find that remarkable

yeah, i don’t disagree with you on the identity politics nightmare of the dem race right now at all, but it is still incredibly remarkable to me that david brooks pinpoints neither her record or her gender as the source of unlikability — and instead brings up the fact that she needs HOBBIES

Considering that he has exactly zero percent odds of winning the nomination, does anyone else feel that Bernie is actively trying to fuck over the Democrats at this point?

I clicked into this article just to find out who Shailene Woodley is. Funny enough, I watched the first two of those Divergent movies. Still didn’t remember who she was.

The person who is against feminism and thinks it’s important to sunbathe her vagina?

First comedy and now this. When will Family Guy stop ruining things.

“I created a character, a scary—kind of a Jason kind of character,” he explained. “Looking at what the establishment is afraid of, a scary Joker-like character who’s like the boogeyman under their bed.”

So at what point do we just acknowledge that the bernie campaign has essentially devolved into what the trump campaign would be like if he was losing?

This is crazy! I knew the Sanders campaign was disorganized and inexperienced, but I didn’t know just what a mess it was.

Betcha a hundred bucks that mom is a Hillary supporter. And never buys the right kind of hot pockets like a total bitch.

Oh! THIS IS A STORY. They won’t do it, but Gawker media should do a story on this.

And don’t forget he’s done jack in 30 years in Washington.

It does not even remotely surprise me that delegates didn’t show up. My husband and I caucused for Sanders in our state; the first time we’d ever gone to a caucus. Sanders won our state, and delegates were selected at the caucus. Neither of us volunteered to be delegates. We didn’t put our names in to be delegates,

The rot apparently starts from the top. People can no longer pretend Sanders is OK but his supporters are the problem. It’s clear he’s egging them on.

This. It’s trolling come to life. The whole defense of: I’m not an angry person, I’m just playing one to be representative of all the angry people, is ludicrous on its face. Own your actions and words, people.

I’m actually kind of pissed at the milquetoast response from Sanders more than anything. This primary season has made me question the maturity of most of the country so a bunch of entitled assholes throwing a hissy fit is not surprising , but I’d hoped Sanders would remind his supporters to act like adults.

I have been reluctant to blame Sanders as his supporters get more and more batshit in the face of inevitable loss. No more. The statement he put out on this is pure bullshit. You supporters got VIOLENT — they threw chairs, they issued death threats, they acted like spoiled Trump-supporting creeps, and the statement
