I read a book years ago called the “Descent of Woman” by Elaine Morgan... It is a fascinating look at evolution from the female perspective. When it came out, I was immediately struck by how women are ignored in history and how we probably were the driving cause of language, tool making, pottery, society, etc.

What I loved about the Lincoln Memorial is that (when I was there) I was impressed by the fact that everyone there treated it with awe and reverence. This was one of the greatest Presidents that we had, who was cut down by hate and ignorance, and the fact that the visitors were so impressed by it was impressive.

My first thought too... Irvine is very white and snobbish.
