What I loved about the Lincoln Memorial is that (when I was there) I was impressed by the fact that everyone there treated it with awe and reverence. This was one of the greatest Presidents that we had, who was cut down by hate and ignorance, and the fact that the visitors were so impressed by it was impressive.

I was once asked one of these questions, it was a long time ago. I answered that “You know I don’t have to answer this, but I have 4 children.” Then I explained that I have day care, friends that help and they were school age. I got the job anyway, but it was probably not the best thing to say 20+ years ago.

I’m not sure where I stand on this.... I never got the feeling that she was ok. I’m probably wrong, but she never struck me as stable.

I used to spray lavender scent/oil lightly on their pillows. I would also semi- “hypnotize” them by whispering to them to “feel their toes, they are falling asleep.. now feel your ankles, they are falling asleep.....” It usually relaxed them enough that they fell asleep sooner than later.

I used to keep all my photographs of my family and children by the back door so if there was a fire I could pull them out. Now everything is on line, so after I got my pets (and any kids that might have dropped by) I would grab the laptop and external hard drives....
